Nathaniel Robinson, Violinist | |
Regarding violinist Nathaniel Robinson, the German Jeversches Wochenblatt observed, “Like a seasoned concert artist the young man tossed off the most demanding technical passages in his performances as if by sleight of hand, drew out music from his violin strings with a display of brilliant technique and profound feeling, made his bow dance and soar, and quided it with unerring concentration to a breathtaking climax that threatened to shatter the acoustics of the concert hall.” Nathaniel Robinson began violin studies at the age of five and made his solo debut at the age of 11 with the Taipei Symphony Orchestra (Taiwan) in a highly acclaimed performance of Paganini’s First Violin Concerto. He has since won numerous awards and prizes in addition to appearing as soloist and recitalist throughout Europe, Asia, Canada, and the US. Robinson previously studied with Arnold Steinhardt (first violinist of the Guarneri String Quartet), and continues his studies under the guidance of world-renowned violinist Erick Friedman, himself a protégé of Nathan Milstein and the legendary Jascha Heifetz. |
